James H. Smith brings first hand knowledge of construction and landscape construction to his role as a staff landscape architect. He earned a degree in History from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN before his construction experience inspired him to study design in the Landscape Architecture Master's Program at Louisiana State University. In addition to working in landscape contracting, he also worked in a small design firm in New Orleans before joining our team in 2000.
James is involved all aspects of our work from the conceptual level through construction. During his years of service, he has contributed to award winning projects such as 3 Creek Ranch, and the Green Lane Residence, as well as the Pinedale and Davey Jackson elementary schools, First Interstate Bank, Wrangler Park, and Rangeview Park. James is a registered landscape architect and CLARB certified.(email)
